Thanks for sharing your heart. Congratulations to you the two of you!

It is astounding to me how many women I have seen leave their husbands this year. I wish everyone could read your message and see how lucky they are to have that person who will be there when “you slip from time to eternity.” Love you both!

You are such a mature woman, I hope everyone who reads this blog, that needs to recommit to their marriages does so. When times get tough for me I remind myself that on the day I married my husband I made a vow not only to him but also to God, and any vow made to God should be taken very seriously. God bless you. Amy

Thanks for the beautiful reminders, for sharing your heart, and for sharing your life/family! We are married for twice as long (28 yrs) and have found that we don’t so much argue anymore, as we have discussions. I would like to say that we were as wise at 14 yrs of marriage, but we weren’t. But we’re together, we’re growing and learning, and we love each other more, again, differently. Just last night I said to my husband, ‘why did you ever marry me?’ because we are complete opposites. He gets cold, I’m too warm; he likes being alone, I want to be surrounded with people; he likes fishing with a pole, I like dip netting; he likes order, I like clutter; he thinks a great vacation is sitting by a pool reading a book, I think a great vacation is a road trip across the US visiting every relative along the way, and even bringing a few along with us; he likes structure, I like things open-ended; he likes to be early to events, I’m not interested in wasting my time sitting & waiting; he likes the process, I like to ‘get ‘er done’. And yet . . . 3 children and 28 years later, we’re still together. I think God has a sense of humor!
